Alfred to Receive Top Award From Adult Education Organization

The American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) has selected Mary Alfred, associate professor of adult education in the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development, to receive the 2010 AAACE President’s Award.
Alfred was selected based on her continuous leadership in the profession, particularly as editor of the journal Adult Learning and director of the Commission of Professors of Adult Education.
This award recognizes people from education, government, industry or other sectors who demonstrate exceptional and innovative leadership to or in support of adult and continuing education.
Alfred is also associate dean for faculty affairs in the College of Education and Human Development.
