ALI 2012 Awards

Administrative Leadership Institute hosted in the department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development made several prestigious awards during its annual 2012 conference held November 7-8 in College Station. http://eahr.tamu.edu/articles/ali Golden Deeds Award - Lynn Moak, Casey & Associates, was awarded the 2012 Golden Deeds Award. As recipient of this award, he is recognized as an individual who has, through actions and deeds, improved the educational system in Texas to enrich the lives of all Texas public school students.

John R. Hoyle Award for Educational Leadership— Dr. Thomas Randle, superintendent, Lamar CISD, wasthe recipient of the 2012 John R. Hoyle Award for Educational Leadership. Named after a professor emeritus of education in the department and one of the founders of the institute’s current format, the award is presented to a practicing administrator who is making a difference in the lives of all youth for the betterment of all society.

Paul Hensarling Award - Dr. Elizabeth Greninger, former student in EAHR, a senior associate and Teacher Quality specialist at edCount, LLC and a project director for the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center at Gallaudet University was the recipient of Paul Hensarling award which recognizes current and former students who demonstrate significant potential for scholarly advancement while also committing themselves in large part to leading public schools.

T. M. Stinnett Award - Dr. Karen Rodriguez former EAHR student and assistant principal at Edgewood Elementary in Spring Branch ISD was the recipient of the T.M. Stinnett Award. The T. M. Stinnett award recognizes current and former students demonstrating an outstanding academic record in their doctoral studies and noteworthy potential for significant scholarly contributions.

Faculty Granted Tenure – Dr. Luis Ponjuan who was hired as associate professor of higher education with tenure pending approval was granted tenure by the Texas A&M University Board of Regents at its November 2, 2012 meeting. Congratulations to Dr. Ponjuan for this important recognition of his scholarship!
