ALI Conference to be held next week – The Administrative Leadership Institute annual conference will be held next week November 7-8, 2012 at the Hilton Hotel, College Station. The ALI annual conference is designed to focus on a critical issue that will help school leaders create or transform schools to help all children become successful students and people. This year’s conference speakers include Doug Christensen - Former Nebraska Commissioner of Education who will speak on the topic of "Changing the Conversation about Assessment and Accountability" and Dr. Jeff Turner, Superintendent, Coppell ISD, whose Keynote is on “A New Vision for Public Schools”. 

Former Students to be honored at the ALI Conference - Dr. Elizabeth Greninger, a senior associate and Teacher Quality specialist at edCount, LLC and a project director for the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center at Gallaudet University, and Dr. Karen Rodriguez assistant principal at Edgewood Elementary in Spring Branch ISD will be honored at this year’s ALI conference with Paul Hensarling and T.M. Stinnett Awards respectively. The Hensarling award recognizes current and former students who demonstrate significant potential for scholarly advancement while also committing themselves in large part to leading public schools, while the T. M. Stinnett award recognizes current and former students demonstrating an outstanding academic record in their doctoral studies and noteworthy potential for significant scholarly contributions
