Faculty Honored at American Psychological Association Convention

Counseling psychology faculty and graduate students from the Department of Educational Psychology attended the American Psychological Association Convention in San Diego, Calif. Linda Castillo, associate professor, was named a fellow of the American Psychological Association by the Society of the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues at the convention. Professor Timothy Elliott received the Distinguished Service Award in the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology. Faculty and students gave poster and oral presentations, and organized workshops, symposia and discussions. Topics covered ranged from support for family caregivers and post-partum depression screening to meeting the mental health needs of rural residents.
