Former student, Dr. Priyanka Doshy, recently earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University and has been hired as a Training and Calibration Facilitator by the Dallas Independent School District.

In her time spent at Texas A&M, Doshy was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the Indian Graduate Students Association (IGSA), the Graduate Student Council and the Graduate Representative Advisory Board. “My favorite thing about my time spent at Texas A&M was the opportunity to meet so many people and learn from their various backgrounds and life experiences,” said Doshy. “The friends I have made here will always be very special to me.”

As a calibration facilitator, Doshy will play a fundamental role in school leadership by ensuring that all evaluators have access to high quality training and ongoing support to create consistent, normed scoring practices across the district. Calibration facilitators are also responsible for providing relevant feedback on performance, supporting evidence collection during observations and identifying feedback to support teachers’ professional growth. Doshy will support the distinguished teacher review process and will ensure that all evaluators remain calibrated on every campus within the district.

“The Human Resource Development program has given me the immense confidence and motivation through which I will be able to perform exceedingly well in my new position with an excellent attitude towards both life and work,” she said. “I told myself that the program would broaden my horizons, and sure enough it has.”
