Harvard Professor to Speak on STEM Education

Wilfried Schmid, the Dwight Parker Robinson Professor of Mathematics at Harvard University, will speak about "Conflicts between Mathematics Educators and Mathematicians, and Ways to Overcome Them," on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m. in Harrington Tower 303.

Additionally, Schmid will give an informal talk earlier in the day at noon in Harrington Tower 301 and 303.

He will discuss STEM education and current developments in the United States as well as possible opportunities for program development and research collaborations in math education. Lunch will be served to those who register for the noon talk. RSVP to Joan Davison by email or calling 979-845-8383.
