Ladainian Tomlinson to Speak about Sports Branding

NFL running back LaDainian Tomlinson and the president of the Houston Texans will be part of an expert panel speaking about sports branding on Thursday, April 14.

The Center for Sport Management Research and Education and the Mays Business School will co-host a Sport Branding Summit.

The event will take place at Mays Business School and will include a panel discussing the importance of branding in the sports industry. Moderated by ESPN's Jenn Brown, the panel will include speakers from the both the sponsorship and firm sides of professional sports branding.

In addition to Tomlinson and Texans president Jamey Rootes, speakers scheduled to appear are Jeff Dubiel, vice president of sports marketing at Pepsi and Jennifer Storms senior vice president of sports marketing at Gatorade.

The event will be Thursday April 14, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in Wehner room 114.
