At age 6, Sara May was diagnosed with a rare, progressive genetic disorder called Cockayne Syndrome, but she didn’t allow the disorder to stop her from touching the lives of countless students at Texas A&M University. While Sara was a student at Texas A&M Consolidated High School, her mother Kathy, a longtime business administrator in the College of Education and Human Development, came up with the creative solution to hire Texas A&M Students to work with Sara and impact her life. Sara, in turn, made the real impact on the students. You can read more about Sara, the friendships that she made and her love for serving others in the Spring 2014 edition of Spirit Magazine.
