Two Students Selected in 2012 MLB Draft

Junior kinesiology major Tyler Naquin and senior sport management major Matt Junegel were selected in the 2012 Major League First-Year Player Draft.

Naquin, the highest drafted Aggie, was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the first round as the 15th overall pick. The Spring, Texas, native batted .380 while leading the Aggies in runs (56), doubles (18) and triples (6) this season. He earned second team All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball.

Juengel, of Houston, Texas, was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 24th round of the draft. He finished the 2012 season with a .292 batting average.
