Woodman Selected as Kinesiology Division Chair

Christopher Woodman, associate professor in kinesiology at Texas A&M University, has been selected to serve as the next chair for the kinesiology division.

Woodman, an award-winning professor and researcher, received his bachelor’s in biology from Colgate University, a master’s in exercise science and Ph.D. in physiological sciences from the University of Arizona. His emphasis area is exercise physiology and he holds the title of associate professor in the Department of Health and Kinesiology and the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology at Texas A&M.

Woodman has been honored with the NASA Certificate of Recognition in and as a star reviewer for the Journal of Applied Physiology. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Physiology and Frontiers in Vascular Physiology. Woodman is also the recipient of the Collins Faculty Fellowship at Texas A&M.

Woodman will shadow outgoing division chair David Wright during the spring semester and begin his appointment in the fall of 2014.
