By the time its built in 2016, the Human Clinical Research Facility will be the proverbial hub for human research collaboration at Texas A&M University. Envisioned by the Department of Health & Kinesiology, it will house both the Center for Translational Research in Aging and Longevity (CTRAL), headed by Dr. Nicolaas Deutz, and the Exercise & Sport Nutrition Lab (ESNL), headed by Dr. Richard Kreider.

The Texas A&M Laboratory for the Study of Intercollegiate Athletics (LSIA) awarded Kent State University the winner of its 7th Annual Excellence in Management Cup. This is Kent State University’s third victory since 2009. Rounding out the top three, in second was the University of Oregon and in third, the 2013 champions, the University of Colorado.

In an effort to develop new programming to reduce teen pregnancies, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Adolescent Health has awarded 7.5 million to the Center for Community Health Development (CCHD) at the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Public Health. The five-year project is a collaboration between CCHD and the Department of Health and Kinesiology (HLKN).
